I *could* have taken a photo but then the haiku would only have been describing the photograph and so I didn't which hopefully lets the haiku breathe.

You're absolutely right Gerald, but it's because the haiku is so enjoyable that it made me want to see your photograph even though it would defeat the purpose. I think that's the power of the word at play, toying with me.
I really enjoyed the abrupt enjambement, which Paul Conneally also does so well.
